We Are Thomasse presents: Producing Digital Content on a Budget
Learn from viral British-American sketch duo "We Are Thomasse" how to produce high quality, digital content on any budget. We will detail what you need to get started on pre-production, how to find crew and equipment, how to get creative with the locations you have available to you, and how to effectively reach an audience online. We release new videos every other week and have amassed 10 million views in under two years and want to share what we have learned with other artists hungry to get their ideas in front of a worldwide audience.
This is a general admission event and is open to all ages. Please bring yourself, your questions, and something to take notes with.
In addition to this workshop, we will be teaching two other workshops in London
Sept 28th, Producing Digital Comedy on a Budget: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3091880
Oct 2nd, Acting for Sketch
And we will be performing two shows in London
Sept 27th at The Leicester Square Theatre
Oct 1st at The Horse & Stables
We Are Thomasse is what happens when an American Millennial woman and a British Gen X man decide to get married and make sweet, sweet comedy together. Ranked number 12 out of the top 1,000 comedians in 2016, you may know them from their various viral hits such as their Awkward Exes: Britain & America videos which now have over 5 million views, or their multiple collaborations with Grammy Award Winner Jason Mraz. With hints of Monty Pythons wackiness and Carol Burnetts wit, We Are Thomasse are often compared to classic comedy duos such as Nichols and May, or Burns and Allen. Currently performing their live show at The Second City in Hollywood and having performed at iO West, The Peoples Improv Theatre, and UCB (NYC & LA), We Are Thomasse write and perform rapid fire, clever, twisted sketches covering everything from Feminist Fairytales and International Relations to Awkward Exes and Empathetic Muggers. Originally hailing from London (Nick Afka Thomas) and New York (Sarah Ann Masse), they combine a throwback style with a modern mindset, making We Are Thomasse like nothing else in the comedy world today.
